PROGRAMS:

The Hot And Energetic Universe

The planetarium documentary “The Hot and Energetic Universe” presents with the use of Immersive Visualisations and real images the achievements of the modern astronomy, the most advanced terrestrial and orbital observatories, the basic principles electromagnetic radiation and the natural phenomena related to the High Energy Astrophysics. High Energy Astrophysics plays a key role in understanding the universe. These radiations reveal the processes in the hot and violent universe. High Energy Astrophysics probes hot gas in clusters of galaxies, which are the most massive objects in the universe. It also probes hot gas accreting around supermassive black holes in the centers of galaxies. Finally, high energy radiation provides important information about our own galaxy, neutron stars, supernova remnants and stars like our Sun which emit copious amounts of high energy radiation. Europe plays a leading role in high energy astrophysics research. (Lenght: 30 min.)

Out there – The Quest for Extrasolar Worlds
For thousands of years, mankind thought that the Earth was the centre of the Universe. Thanks to our curiosity, imagination and urge to explore, we now know that planets like our Earth are nothing special in the cosmos. The Sun is just one ordinary star among hundreds of billions in our galaxy, the Milky Way. With the world’s most powerful telescopes, we are able to explore more and more of the Universe. What we have found so far has surpassed even the wildest expectations of scientists as well as authors of science fiction. Most stars have planets — it turns out they are more common than we thought.
A huge diversity of different worlds is out there, just waiting to be discovered. (Lenght: 30 min.)

Phantom of the Universe
From the journey of protons racing through the world’s largest particle collider in Europe to up-close views of the Big Bang and emergent cosmos, Phantom of the Universe is a new fulldome planetarium show designed to immerse audiences in the search for dark matter. (Lenght: 30 min.)

The Dark Matter Mystery
We are in the final phase of our Basics of Astrophysics series. We have come a long way. We started by answering the question, what is astrophysics? Then, we learned some basics such as the importance of EM spectrum, types of redshifts, distances in astronomy, celestial coordinates, the classification of stars, and the Hertzsprung Russell diagram. Later, using these tools, we studied the structure of the sun, the evolution of stars, nuclear reactions in stars, supernovas and their types, galaxies and their interactions, black holes, quasars, nebulae, and the gravitational waves. Today, we will cover another crucial topic in astrophysics: the dark matter. (Lenght: 38 min.)

Captain Szimat in space
The main characters are Captain Szimat (dog), Tuk (toucan) the non-commissioned officer, and the Central computer that transmits the actual information. Explain the solar system's structure, the planets' location, their most significant properties, space travel, and other fascinating topics. Using stunning pictures and recordings, it vividly explains our solar system and what a child should be aware of! The child is not only present as an observer, but the work actively involves the viewer in the action. This 34-minute film is intended for children aged from 3 to 8 years old.
